Oncor动力实验室 for Electrical Engineering Opens 在一个&移动商务

The College of 科学与工程 Power Lab at macaugalaxy银河国际&M University-商务 received a brand-new name this month: the Oncor动力实验室. The designation honors a 70-year partnership between Oncor电-德克萨斯州最大的能源输送公司和A&移动商务.

Building on the longstanding partnership, Oncor recently entered 新的赠与协议 与一个&移动商务支持大学的 电气工程专业.

A portion of Oncor’s $150,000 gift will fund operating costs and equipment needs of the Oncor动力实验室. 这个实验室是一个训练系统 工程与技术学系 在一个&移动商务 designed to teach students the basics of electricity, 包括直流(DC), single- and three-phase alternating current (AC), 变形金刚, 发电机和电动机. The system operates at low voltage for student safety. Equipped with the essential equipment and software to conduct real-world experiments in electrical power systems, the lab provides students with comprehensive coverage of various topics related to electrical power systems.

The College of 科学与工程 hosted an unveiling ceremony at the Power Lab on September 21. 俄勒冈州Oncor公司的代表&移动商务 and the community were on hand to dedicate the facility.
